The practice of applying stone dust / rock dust in mines dates back to the early 1900's. Stone dust or rock dust serves as a heat sink material that can assist to prevent or suppress coal dust explosions through the absorption of heat and energy from any gases and radiant energy present in a explosion.

Graymont fine ground limestone products (FGLS) are used in many applications and where quality and consistency of grind is required. Calgrit®

Poultry

Calgrit® limestone is manufactured from selected limestone and is screened to meet defined sizing criteria. Calgrit® is commonly used as an alternative to crushed shell and is an excellent source of calcium for poultry. 

AeroLime®

Aerolime

The agronomic benefits associated with AeroLime® include pH adjustment where soils are acidic. By raising the pH level, AeroLime® can assist to reduce soil toxicity caused by excess levels of aluminium, manganese and iron. Toxic levels of these minerals thrive in low pH soils, restricting root and plant development.

Limil®

Limil® is commonly used as a mortar additive where it acts to improve the cohesiveness, water retention and flexibility of the mortar mix.  Limil® can also be used as a lime wash when mixed with the correct quantity of water.
