High Calcium Hydrated Lime

Hydrated lime, Ca(OH)2 is a dry powder produced by combining quicklime with a sufficient amount of water to satisfy the quicklime's natural affinity for moisture.

The process converts CaO (Calcium Oxide) to Ca(OH)2 (Calcium Hydroxide) Hydrated lime can be used to form a suspension or slurry and is often pumped to multiple process locations within industrial plants.

Hydrated lime is used in a variety of industrial applications including water treatment, as an anti-stripping agent in asphalt, brine manufacture for food processing, strengthening agent for soils and to neutralize odours.

Graymont’s Hydrated Lime typically has a high available lime above 90% (by calculation), is very fine and has high surface area. It is manufactured under a Quality Management System certified to the ISO9001:2015 standard.

Hydrated Lime products are available in various formats including: bulk in pneumatic tanker, 500kg+ sacks and 20 kg paper bags on request.

WARNING:

Hydrated lime in powder form and as a slurry is highly alkaline and all safety precautions should be taken after consulting the safety data sheet.
