July 7th, 2026, Sydney, Australia — Graymont today announced a further investment in its Victorian operations to strengthen local supply of calcium-based solutions to customers across the state.
The investment in a new hydrated lime production facility at the Traralgon plant will enable Graymont to supply Victorian customers with locally produced hydrated lime. Once operational, Graymont will be the only producer of hydrated lime in Victoria.
Graymont CEO Stéphane Godin stated, “This investment further enhances Graymont’s supply capability in Victoria and strengthens our local supply chain. Local production will ensure Victorian customers have a reliable supply of hydrated lime that underpins Victoria’s economy and essential services.”
APAC President Andrew Speed said, “This investment forms part of Graymont’s broader strategy to enhance our Victorian network. In addition to this investment, we are more than doubling our quicklime production capability at our Traralgon plant and have established a new purpose-built logistics terminal in Laverton, Melbourne. The combination of these investments will provide Graymont’s Victorian customers with a reliable supply solution.”
Installation of the hydrator is subject to regulatory approval. Graymont will continue to engage with local residents, councils, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
