SPECIALTY LIMESTONE
Graymont’s Specialty Limestone products represent a carefully manufactured range of limestone solutions designed to meet stringent project needs.
- Dedusted limestone products are available at selected supply points in Australia. In general, these products have had a very high proportion of the fraction below 250um removed via a dedusting process at the manufacturing facility. These products are ideally used for manufacturing situations where smaller size fractions are undesirable or not considered necessary. Dedusted limestone products have a calcium carbonate level of at least 90%.
- Densely Graded Basecourse (DGB) is a well graded base course material with a typical nominal top size of 20mm. DGB materials are manufactured under controlled conditions promoting consistency and resistance to distortion. - Unical is an off-white pulverised limestone filler used in a wide range of industrial applications for various sectors such as: plaster manufacture, asphalt manufacture and other industrial applications. Unical typically has a high Calcium Carbonate level, >90% and low minor constituents such as Silica, Ferric Oxide and Alumina. Oil absorption, surface area and bulk density may vary between resources.
- Graymont manufactures finely ground stone dust for use in underground coal mines to industry standards and to be compliant with the relevant mines department regulations.
- CalCarb-PLUS powder is high purity and has low minor constituents such as silica, iron oxide and alumina. It is off white in colour and particle sizing is predominantly finer than 90 microns. CalCarb-PLUS can be used in applications including pH control for acid soil management, as a filler in asphalt, as a processing aid in mining operations and is suitable for some agriculture applications.
