July 11, 2006 — Graymont Western Canada Inc. is pleased to announce a multi-year term Agreement with Nexen Inc. to supply lime to Nexen’s Long Lake operation south of Ft. McMurray, Alberta.
Nexen Inc. is an independent global energy company listed on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges, and one of Canada’s largest oil and natural gas producers. The Long Lake operation will involve integrating bitumen production with field upgrading technology to produce a premium synthetic crude oil as part of the Athabasca Oil Sands project.
The Graymont Exshaw, Alberta employees are very excited about the opportunity to service Nexen’s lime requirements for many years to come.
