October 18, 2009, Faulkner, Manitoba — Graymont is proud to announce that the Faulkner Plant has achieved seven years without a lost time incident.
Some of the factors that have contributed to this safety achievement include the following:
- Faulkner employees have learned to take the time to plan their jobs so that they can do them as safely as is reasonably achievable. This means never rushing into a task.
- Faulkner employees have learned to use the correct tools and equipment for the tasks to be performed.
- Faulkner employees have also learned to watch out for each other and to help each other perform their tasks more safely whenever possible.
Graymont takes a long term view of its business and the lime industry and is looking forward to continuing its work in Faulkner and in so doing, improving our environment, contributing to the community as a good neighbor and adding value as a responsible business partner.
