Havelock Achieves a New Safety Record

On April 26, 2009, Graymont’s Havelock Plant in Eastern Canada accomplished a new safety record – four years accident free. On May 8, the plant celebrated this event with a barbeque. Dave Holmes, co-chair of the safety committee, explained the relevance of this achievement “being able to go home safe”, and asked everyone for a moment of silence to remember Michel Lemaire. Graymont would like to thank plant manager André Van Agten and his team for their commitment to safety.

Graymont takes a long term view of its business and the lime industry and is looking forward to continuing its work in Havelock and in so doing, improving our environment, contributing to the community as a good neighbor and adding value as a responsible business partner.
