Graymont (Portneuf) – Graymont Portneuf, located in St-Marc-des-Carrières’s City, Quebec, has committed to contribute $20,000 over four years to the city, towards the purchase of a new fire truck.
Sylvain Marcotte, production plant manager, explained "the reason we decided to contribute is because we work closely with the Fire Department each year to develop the emergency plan and we receive a lot of information from them". The Fire Department is a community service that Graymont employees support in other ways as well – five Graymont employees also serve as firemen with the Department.
Graymont takes a long term view of its business and the lime industry and is looking forward to continuing its work in Portneuf and in so doing, improving our environment, contributing to the community as a good neighbor and adding value as a responsible business partner.
