{"id":4539,"date":"2011-12-07T09:32:00","date_gmt":"2011-12-07T14:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.graymont.com\/?p=4539"},"modified":"2025-06-10T15:45:22","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T19:45:22","slug":"president-and-ceo-retires-evp-and-chief-operating-officer-selected-as-new-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.graymont.com\/fr\/presse\/president-and-ceo-retires-evp-and-chief-operating-officer-selected-as-new-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"Le pr\u00e9sident-directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral prend sa retraite; le vice-pr\u00e9sident ex\u00e9cutif et directeur de l&#8217;exploitation d\u00e9sign\u00e9 comme nouveau PDG."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>December 7, 2011 \u2014<\/strong> After almost 32 years with the company, President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Dodge will retire next June, Graymont Board Chairman Graham Weir announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is with mixed emotions that we accepted Bill\u2019s decision to retire in June 2012,\u201d Weir said.&nbsp; \u201cHe will be greatly missed, but we understand the time is right for Bill and Maryteen to enjoy their retirement years.\u201d &nbsp;According to Weir, under Dodge\u2019s leadership, the company has become stronger and more resilient; able to prosper in challenging economic times. &nbsp;\u201cThere has also been great progress with our safety performance, as well as how we interact with our communities to earn our social license,\u201d Weir pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut we are very pleased to announce our unanimous selection of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer St\u00e9phane Godin as Bill\u2019s successor,\u201d Weir said. &nbsp;\u201cSt\u00e9phane\u2019s appointment will take effect in June after the Annual Meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A graduate of Laval University and a Certified Management Accountant, Godin joined Graymont in 2003 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. &nbsp;He assumed broader responsibilities with his promotion to Executive Vice President Operations in 2007.&nbsp; In 2010, he took on the EVP and COO role which entailed leadership of all the company\u2019s lime operations.&nbsp; \u201cSt\u00e9phane has also played a significant role in our past success and we are confident that his leadership capabilities will serve us well in the future,\u201d Weir said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Graymont<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Graymont is a global leader in calcium-based solutions.
