Detailed Description:
The Joliette Plant has been in operation since the beginning of the century. It is still today a modern and efficient facility due to Graymont's continuous investment program. From an open pit quarry of chemical grade limestone, the Joliette plant produces both quicklime and hydrated lime. This major industrial complex is equipped with two rotary kilns. It has an annual production capacity of some 220,000 tonnes of quicklime and a hydration capacity of 75,000 tonnes. These high production levels, along with a broad product line and over 4,000 tonnes of product storage capacity, give our Joliette plant all means necessary to meet customer needs.
The Joliette plant is also a major producer of construction aggregates and pulverized limestone. Graymont has always focused strongly on providing employees with a high quality working environment. This in turn is reflected in the high-quality service offered by plant personnel.
