PRESS RELEASE - For immediate publication - It is with deep regret that Allen Walsh, Bedford‘s Graymont plant manager, confirms the death of an employee, Mr. Michel Lemaire, aged 59, who was involved in a work-related accident. The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. yesterday at the Bedford plant site.
Roland Charest, a production employee who has worked at the Graymont Joliette plant for the past 21 years, was asked by Graymont in 2004 to take a First Aid course. Little did he know that this training would help him save a man’s life.

Tacoma - For the second year now, Graymont Tacoma has hosted a tour of the plant by 7th grade science students from Whatcom Hills Waldorf School in Bellingham, WA. This year, 20 students, their teacher and 3 chaperones were shown a Power Point presentation by Rob Freeman that explained the uses of lime and limestone in many different industries today, and specifically, how it is used at the Tacoma plant in the production of PCC.
