Exshaw Plant Receives Volunteer Recognition Award

Exshaw – The Community Relationship Committee (GCRC) at Graymont’s Exshaw plant in Alberta received an important Volunteer Recognition Award from the Municipal District of Bighorn on September 11, 2009.  Each year the Municipal District of Bighorn holds a recognition and thank you dinner in honor of all the different groups and individuals in the surrounding communities that contribute and help out within the district.

The Committee was honored and given an award based on recent activities in the community, including; donating funds for the Children's Legion Picnic and sports day, donating funds for the annual Exshaw Christmas Party which gives gifts to approximately 85 children, donating product for the local baseball diamond and recreation grounds, and volunteering at various activities within the community including the events that they donated funds to.

Exshaw’s Community Relationship Committee members include Jennifer Lambert (Chairperson), Rick Pasemko, Lee Leibel, Dale Kelly, Willie Bridge, Sebastien Villeneuve, and Wayne Hingley.

Graymont takes a long term view of its business and the lime industry and is looking forward to continuing its work in Exshaw and in so doing, improving our environment, contributing to the community as a good neighbor and adding value as a responsible business partner.
