Graymont is one of the leading suppliers of lime in the northeastern United States. The Pleasant Gap plant is the most modern lime plant in the region, with a 1,200 ton per day rotary preheater lime kiln (2005), a 1,050 ton per day rotary lime kiln (2008), a 660 ton per day vertical twin shaft lime kiln (2016), two new lime hydrating plants (2005 and 2018), a 720 ton per day pulverized limestone plant (2006) and a robotic bagging and palletizing plant (2018).
The newest rotary lime kiln incorporates a highly efficient emissions scrubbing system along with power generation from a waste heat recovery system. The waste heat recovery and power generation system is the only one of its kind on a lime kiln in North America.
Pleasant Gap also provides bulk product storage capacity and a multi-mode shipping capability that assures when Graymont customers place an order, it will be quickly shipped by rail or truck.
